INCI: Rincinus communis (Castor) Seed Oil

Description: Castor Oil is one of the most moisturizing oils, similar to Lanolin in that it serves to provide a barrier that locks in moisture in the skin, at the same time locking moisture out, making it a great choice for protective, barrier, treatments. Castor Oil is also an excellent choice for lip balms due to its ability to give your formulation a natural shine. It is also well known for its ability to fade dark spots, whether acne spots or age spots, lessen skin tags, and even to dissolve cysts. Castor oil is very high in Omega 3 and Omega 6 and is wonderful for hair and skin as a moisturizer. It's also very high in Vitamin E and has many other minerals and protein. Castor is amazing in cold process soap and is known to increase the bubbles in your soap. Caution should be taken because too much can make your bars become sticky.
